Synopsis

The present work is a descriptive synthesis of the communities of the Valley of Tehuacán-Cuicatlán and aspires to be a useful guide to distinguish and characterize the vegetation of this region. Its elaboration required an arduous information systematization company previously produced, as well as new research who sought to represent the best possible variety of plant associations of a characterized region for its high environmental complexity. Valley of Tehuacán-Cuicatlán presents a great variety of dry, warm subhumid and temperate climate types subhumid It also has a varied composition of rocks on its surface, including rocks sedimentary (limestones, sandstones, shales) and in minor proportion of volcanic and metamorphic rocks, as well as very different landforms and reliefs. Everyone these factors as a whole influence to conform a complex mosaic of distributed vegetation variants in the space.
